Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Sr Staff Software Engineer, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI: Design software based on customer requirements and priorities. Create, maintain and communicate and interface between customer, local and overseas development teams, management. Plan, coordinate and direct the development team. Prepare and present responses to action items to internal and external stakeholders. Provide support to Vehicle Application teams with problem root-cause analysis and corrective action plan. Understand customer software delivery requirements and priorities. Ensure all aspects of production processes and software calibration programming are validated. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience. Must have 5 years of experience using software development processes, tools and methods, including Software Configuration Management Systems (PTC Integrity, IBM Jazz, Git, or GitHub), Requirement Management tools, and Architecture. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Using Agile software development methodologies; and Using Automotive testing tools, including Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, or D32. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Software Project Management, including experience in software level operational supervision, using defined processes, methods and tools to direct the product development and project team, reporting the project status, delivering software versions to the external customer, maintaining a plan for development, verification/validation and delivery, and engaging in software issue tracking; Reading, debugging, and modifying embedded software developed in C; Communicating software issues to technical counterparts and project management in order to identify the root cause, create a permanent corrective action plan and update project timing as needed in response to the issue; and Managing software projects spread over teams and regions. Must have 1 year of experience using ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement Capability Determination) to evaluate software development process and quality. Domestic travel required up to 5%.
