Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and keen attention to detail. This role is crucial in managing our client's financial processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Process payroll and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist with the year-end audit, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with SOX compliance is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and SUMIFs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
