What You ' ll Be Doing

The role is responsible for providing efficient operational support while maintaining compliance with internal controls and procedures within the functional area. The role applies comprehensive technical and system knowledge to act as a point of escalation and provide timely resolution to complex issues. The role exercises independent judgement in determining feasible solutions for clients, handling situations that require further analysis and investigation. The role leads the implementation of process improvement initiatives, seeking opportunities to streamline existing processes and procedures. Working with limited direction, the role provides training and coaching to others in the department to increase overall knowledge, expertise and productivity.

How You'll Succeed
  • Commercial Loan Documentation - Responsible for the receipt, review and approval of Commercial loan documentation that will include Commercial Real Estate documentation relative to conformity with the approved loan presentation.
  • Document Review - Insure all loan documents have been received, or otherwise waived prior to the loan booking process.
  • Compliance - The Sr. Specialist, Loan Coordinator will also make sure that the proposed transaction is in compliance with Credit Policy.
  • Time Management - The Sr. Specialist, Loan Coordinator will track outside loan exceptions and will insure that all necessary documents are properly recorded and delivered to the Bank in a timely manner.
  • Portfolio Management - The loan portfolio will consist of large and mid-sized Commercial loan transactions and Real Estate loan transactions, a large percentage of which will include Syndicated Credits.
  • Cross Functional Worker - This position supports the Commercial Loan Lines of Business and is part of the centralized Loan Operations Closing Team, reporting to the Loan Closing Team Lead.
  • System Knowledge - Knowledge of Equipment Finance, ACBS and Metavante is a plus. Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
