Akkodis is seeking a
Sr. Software V&V Engineers for a
Contract job with a client in
Rochester, NY . The ideal Candidate must have strong V&V experience in FDA-regulated environments and be able to design manual test procedures while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve system defects and support product launches.
Rate Range: $47/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr. Software V&V Engineers job responsibilities include: - Designing and executing requirements-based manual test procedures
- Validating software in compliance with FDA and medical device regulations
- Identifying, documenting, and managing software defects
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for defect resolution and product improvements
- Participating in test planning, formal reviews, and global team meetings
Desired Qualifications: - B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in a medical device environment
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 standards
- Proficiency in software V&V, defect tracking tools, and configuration management
- Experience writing test plans, cases, and reports within the software test cycle
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
