The Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst will manage the implementation of a testing center of excellence. They will work with project team members and peers to enhance and standardize QA processes & techniques across the enterprise. This individual will be a key advocate of testing and QA process adoption across all engineering teams. They will work on all projects assigned to the team from developments groups such as software solutions developed by Eastern Bank Technology, software development by line of business resources (federated development), external partner-developed software and customizations or paid and market-available software components. This individual will own the process for releasing builds into QA and production. They will create, maintain and enhance key parts of the release procedures and processes and work with engineering team to develop best practices.
- Develop strategies and test plans for enterprise wide projects adhering to quality assurance standards and procedures. Collaborate with Project managers, and other stakeholders on quality standards and implementation to software development process
- Implement SDLC QA standards and procedures, requirement traceability and code testing coverage across applications. Work with other senior leaders in defining governance to be applied enterprise wide for testing all software applications
- Create and define automation framework. Lead, develop and execute automation scripts using UFT, Selenium or other tools for online and mobile solutions
- Design test plans and test cases template, provide training on usage of templates. Create clearly written defect reports; collaborate with engineers on bug fixing and testing.
- Define metrics to be used in reporting results to stakeholders across multiple projects. This includes ensuring we have implemented quality control methods during requirement gathering, design, development and testing phases.
- Perform various testing approaches including white-box, black-box, load testing, mobile testing, functional & regression testing, integration testing
- Create, maintain and enhance key parts of the release procedures and processes. Own the process for releasing builds into QA and production. Approve builds
- Trace complex build problems, release issues and environment issues in a multi-component environment
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING : - Troubleshoot, solve and escalate all issues in the testing department.
- The individual will have the ability to hard stop a software release based on testing results. They
- Must be able to use APIs or similar tools to create data for testing. The individual will
- Work under very little guidance by the Software Quality Assurance Manager. They
- Will be able to lead and manage all projects they are assigned to from requirement gathering through deployment.
- Serve as an escalation to by the junior members of the team.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
- 4+ years of quality assurance strategy and leading team
- Implement QA strategies, influence decision-making on quality of applications
- Create test plans and test cases on web and mobile applications
- 3+ years of automation development for both online and mobile applications
- Knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, Java or .Net, Selenium Framework, Appium, Zephyr
