Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS, or related field
- 4 years of experience in building OS images for embedded devices
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS internals and configuration
- Windows administration experience
- Experience with hardening operating system configurations to meet security standards and requirements
- Experience with remote deployment of software updates
- Experience with Android OS is a plus
- Experience with creation and/or modification of Windows device drivers is a plus
Work Schedule 40 hours per week
Hybrid position: 3 days per week in office at Lafayette, Colorado
Responsibilities - Customize and configure the Windows OS image to meet the specific requirements of the patient monitor.
- Ensure the OS image is optimized for performance and reliability in a medical environment.
- Integrate necessary drivers, software, and applications into the OS image.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure compatibility and stability of the customized OS with the patient monitor hardware.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect patient data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Regularly update the OS image to address security vulnerabilities, fix bugs, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Develop and implement security protocols and best practices to safeguard the OS image against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to stay updated on the latest threats and protection strategies.
- Ensure the OS image is equipped with the latest security patches and antivirus solutions.
- Design and develop tools required for manufacturing and initial setup of the device at the manufacturing site.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand their needs and create solutions that streamline the setup process.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for the tools to ensure smooth operation in the manufacturing environment.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of the customization process, configurations, and any changes made to the OS image.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve any issues related to the customized OS image.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates on the customization process.
