Job Description:

Our SR Software Engineer will own the technical architecture and design for a single product and design and implement stories included in sprint, including working on all tiers of application architecture. They will participate in scrum team ceremonies, including poker planning, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint closing, sprint showcase, and sprint retrospective. They will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving bugs along with recognizing and driving reductions of technical debt. The SR Software Engineer will assit with testing of stories, bug fixes, and regression cycles as well as mentoring more-junior team members to improve their technical and problem-solving skills. They will need to provide effective, empathetic feedback to pull requests and in code reviews and write and update helpful and accessible technical developer documentation. They will need to follow internal standards as specified by Tech team, DevOps team, and Cloud Ops team and analyze client issues in conjunction with customer support and other teams.

Requirements:

Candidate will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Location is hybrid format, with Tuesday and Wednesday of each week in-office.

Minimum of 7 years of experience

College degree in computer science or related field preferred

Agile development experience, preferably with an enterprise software company working on scrum teams

Experience performing pull request and code reviews and providing effective, helpful feedback to team members

Comprehensive knowledge of multiple programming languages and environments (depending on the team, this might require at least one specific language/framework, such as C and .NET)

Experience building web services based on REST; gRPC knowledge desirable

Experience reviewing and updating CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes preferred

Strong data modeling and schema design experience with relational databases; demonstrated work with NoSQL databases preferred

Experience writing unit tests as part of development cycle and using code coverage tools

Familiarity with performance profiling and tuning tools preferred

Advanced, analytical debugging skills

Proficiency in writing technical documentation and requirements in English

Experience with bug and feature tracking and source control systems; Jira, Confluence, and Git preferred

Experience working on any one of the frontend technologies like Vue.js or React.js or Angular.js.

Experience in selecting and implementing architectural and design patterns.
