JOB DESCRIPTION - Use SharePoint and / or Power Automate (as well as other Power Platform tools) to design and develop a document management library for check in / out of MS Office documents using templates stored in a separate library.
- Build multiple views of the library as well as multiple dashboards. Some views / dashboards will be tabular, and others will be structured as a calendar or Gantt.
- Build capability to extract structured data from uploaded MS Word documents to be stored as fields within the database. This may be done using SharePoint's "classify and extract" or other methods that adhere to client's standards (especially security).
- In addition to extracting data from MS Word documents, other data will be entered using UI forms that you create. Some fields will be simple text fields, but others will be pick lists populated with hard coded values. Still, other pick lists will be populated dynamically from tables.
- In addition to the document library there will be three or four additional lists, with a UI for the end-user to enter data, and linked to the entries in the document library. Some of these lists will have a one-to-one and others a one-to-many relationship with the design documents.
- Analyze complex requests, independently design, build, test and deploy software releases to support the project's objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and recommend the technologies that are appropriate for this project.
- Work in an agile manner to deliver functionality in stages. The development model needs to support both DEV and PROD because the releases will be piloted.
- Collaborate on high-level requirements documentation, adding to it as the requirements are elaborated in greater detail.
- Provide knowledge transfer and post-production documentation to staff for ongoing maintenance and support.
- Maintain and share tasks and defect lists and review with the project owner during brief daily design and status meetings.
- Support and coordinate issue management events identification through resolution. There will be no dedicated project manager or dedicated testing team.
- Create (and update when necessary) estimates of milestone delivery dates.
