Job Summary

Provide multiple elements of support to department research goals and strategy, while developing clinical research acumen within the Clinical Research team. Under the guidance of Clinical Research Management, assist in the development, coordination, and execution of clinical research activities, providing input on commercial and clinical development strategies. Responsible for facilitation of effective internal and external departmental relationships, and group achievement of clinical research department goals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • - Act as primary and/or secondary clinical liaison for assigned Medline product divisions: creating/managing clinical strategy and projects; monitoring product trends and assessing clinical areas of interest; communicating high level initiatives and divisional changes/trends to Clinical Research and division teammates; acting as primary source of contact for ongoing Clinical Research operations to divisional personnel.
  • - Responsible for supervised management of assigned divisions clinical strategy, design, development, and evaluation of clinical plans and expediting the implementation of related clinical trials for the purpose of regulatory filing, obtaining outcomes data, and marketing efforts.
  • -Provide clinical input and review of design controls, product development feedback, and support in generation of clinical risk-benefit analyses
  • - Work with members of the division or the project team, identifying issues that might delay the project and make recommendations to improve timelines for project completion.
  • - Lead Quality Improvement Projects with external HCPs/institutions to assess gaps, support in training development/execution, and collection of clinical data
  • - Responsible for review of marketing collateral with clinical content/claims including white papers, manuscripts, posters, and other marketing materials.
  • - Provide SME support as necessary for other Clinical Research deliverables: Medical Education activities, KOL development, clinical presentations, development of scientific and clinical content, etc.
  • - Work under supervision Clinical Research leadership for any other assigned duties.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering or Life Sciences.

Work Experience

At least 7 years of experience in clinical and/or research environment. Experience applying knowledge of data management, data review and analysis, and safety surveillance/reporting.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Experience demonstrating domain knowledge of clinical research operations, clinical research study designs/strategies, and global business strategies for medical devices. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders within various functions.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

MD, PhD or MS degree, preferably in a clinical area of focus.

Work Experience

Experience in area of projected divisional support (e.g., wound healing, infection prevention, vascular access, etc.)

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
