Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Property Accountant. A well-established real estate investment and property management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to support its growing multi-family residential portfolio. This role is responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial management for a portfolio of multi-family properties.
- Manage cash flow, including funding requests and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the accounting setup for newly acquired properties.
- Prepare and review month-end financials, including adjustments as necessary.
- Compile monthly financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Budget Variance, and Executive Summary).
- Review and analyze AR/AP transactions for accuracy, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting account schedules.
- Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with proper documentation.
- Support year-end financial preparations for tax and audit purposes.
- Serve as a key point of contact for ownership and portfolio managers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in multi-family property management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (Associate's degree with equivalent experience considered).
- Yardi experience required
- Ability to analyze variances and compare actual results to budget or historical data.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong team player with high ethical standards and a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Minimal travel to assigned properties may be required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
