UPMC is hiring a Sr. Project Manager, IT to support the UPMC Bridges Program. The program is one of the largest implementations that UPMC has ever completed. It' s truly a once in a career project that will create the future of care at UPMC.
The PM will provide leadership, guidance and support to a multi-faceted information technology projects. Leads and manages the day-to-day fiscal, administrative and operational activities of the projects. Serves as principal point of contact and liaison with external partners, vendors and funding agencies. Collaborates with partners in development of strategic direction. Manages the contractual responsibilities associated with related programs and projects. Hybrid -Daylight hours - occasional off hours due to go lives. Must work eastern time.
Responsibilities: - Project Planning and Management: Experienced in planning and managing project scope, schedules, resources, budget, issues, and risks. Understands need and value of attention to detail. Proactively identifies and addresses project risks. Utilizes change management to control scope and communicate scope changes. Tracks and reports project progress,and forecast trends.
- Process Oriented: Utilizes organizational and PMO processes and standards to provide consistent and excellent project management services. Understands the need and value to continually define and/or improve processes.
- Relevant Technical/Business Knowledge: Experience in a similar technical/industry. Demonstrates financial awareness. Working knowledge of analytical and problem-solving techniques and tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including summaries, presentations, and executive reports.
- Client Relationships: Understands project objectives, and business value, from the user's point of view. Is customer focused. Builds trusted relationships with users.
- Team Leadership/Development: Ability to organize, manage, and lead the project team to sucess. Supports project team members and colleagues. Builds strong relationships with colleagues and IT partners. Skillfully handles situations and creates positive outcomes. Demonstrates self-awareness. Provides mentoring and support to others in areas of expertise.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with 5+ years professional experience in a project implementation capacity. PMP, PgMP, or other related certification preferred.
- High school diploma and 9+ years of professional experience in a project implementation capacity. PMP, PgMP, or other related certification preferred

PREFERRED:
- Proficient at PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft PowerPlatform is a bonus.
- Background in IT and or Clinical/Operational would be a positive.
- Experience in implementation is a plus.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: PMP or PgMP certification preferred
