Sr Project Controller

Summary: The main function of this role is as an expert scheduling and financial controller in support of multiple projects. (All current controllers on this team do a lot of heavy financial work).

CBU needs a very senior controller with a strong background managing project financials. They will be working in an Agile/SAFe environment taking on the financial responsibilities for 3-5 projects. These are all Upstream application development projects. they will report to the PMO Lead for MCBU.

This person needs to have minimum 8, but ideally 10+ years of Project Controller experience with experience supporting major captital project/programs anywhere from $10MM to $100MM+ (the bigger, the better). Needs enterprise level experience. Oil & Gas is a plus, but not required.

TOP 3-5 Required Skills:

-8-10 years' of experience within the Project Controller/Project Manager/Financial capacity

-Microsoft Project

-Financial acumen in CAPEX vs OPEX rules

Nice to Have: IT Infrastructure or applications project experience

Job Responsibilities: Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. - Accountable for maintaining updates and accuracy of project execution plans in Microsoft project across multiple projects - Financial analysis and monitoring - Maintain accuracy of Microsoft PPM entries and executive reporting - Primary interface between central PMO and project teams Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates. Additional Skills: - Experienced in Microsoft PPM - Skilled in financial analysis Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

PMI or PMP certification preferred.
