Sr Program Manager, RME, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, INOPs
The role will be responsible for troubleshooting, design improvements, code implementation, automation project management, change management, and document updates for automation systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and field sensors. It also covers Material Handling Systems (MHEs) including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, X-ray machines, scales, systems, and control cabinets.
The focus is on implementing and scaling control and automation best practices (including SCADA and OEE) and improving MHE reliability across all facilities. The role acts as a liaison for internal and external resources and provides on-call support as needed.
Additionally, the role involves training RME Coordinators and Technicians in device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Collaboration with stakeholders such as Operations, Solution & Controls Engineering, OEMs, Global RME Automation, WHS teams, and field RME is essential to ensure efficient and reliable MHE operation during BAU and ART events.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end ownership of BU-level programs aligned with IN RME roadmap and strategic goals.
- Partner with regional managers, operations leaders, cluster leaders, and the central RME team to develop and execute impactful programs.
- Lead data-driven decision-making through analysis, establishing metrics, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Plan and execute BU-specific initiatives focusing on cost optimization, process efficiency, compliance, safety, sustainability, and team development.
- Conduct site visits and operational assessments to gather insights and ensure program success.
- Establish KPIs, success metrics, and tracking mechanisms to measure impact.
- Perform routine audits to verify program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships to facilitate initiative execution.
- Manage executive communications, including MBRs, QBRs, and leadership deep-dives.
- Create and share program updates via newsletters and reports.
- Develop BU roadmaps based on customer needs and business priorities.
- Perform root-cause analysis to identify improvements and create actionable solutions.
- Prepare detailed business documents and present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the BU.
- Work independently to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Drive standardization across all sites within a BU.
- Work backwards from customer needs to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
- Experience managing program strategy, delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of process improvement experience.
- Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.
