Ventus Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Program Engineer to directly assist the Program Manager (PM) in a science program. The candidate will provide technical support and coordinate conferences, demonstrations, expositions, events, meetings, and technical reviews. In addition to maintaining briefings; the candidate will coordinate input for data calls, such as budget exhibit submissions, congressional requests for information and budgetary drills. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical liaison between senior officials in other departments, services/agencies, government laboratories, academia and industry personnel. Some key support assignments consist of assisting in developing and maintaining key documents and master plans, in addition to supporting technical management of programs including acquisition plan development, representation of the government project, and assessment of performance in terms of technical objectives, cost and schedule. Familiarity with development of databases for technical programmatic tracking of milestones using programs such as: task sheets, mission model canvas sheets, quad sheets, fact sheets and drafting portfolio review slides Join our innovative team and contribute to impactful national security initiatives. Work Location: On site Arlington, VA Clearance: Secret Required Experience: Bachelor's degree - Masters Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
Ten (10) years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science, including biology, chemistry, computer science, and physics
Recent experience (last 5 years) in federal acquisition and budgeting
Experience in Science and Technology (S&T) program management
Experience in technical program management of programs in excess of $1M
Experience in planning methodologies to analyze research programs and development of databases for technical and programmatic tracking of key deliverables and milestones
Experience in evaluating and developing analytical models, procedures, and techniques
Experience in executing and reviewing technical studies, analysis, and design activities Desired Experience: Experience collaborating with senior government (OPNAV, SYSCOM, Warfare Centers, Secretariat, or OSD personnel)
Experience supporting senior Navy S&T leadership or programs on complex tasks
Experience with Department of Defense Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (DoD RDT&E) program/budget exhibits & RDT&E strategic plans
Experience in one or more of the following focus areas: (1) Naval/Marine Corps Naval Engineering, (2) Naval/Marine Corps Power and Energy, (3) Naval/Marine Corps Materials, (4) Naval/Marine Corps Undersea Systems and (5) Naval/Marine Corps Manufacturing
