Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Amazon Fashion

Inspired by mixing Fashion with Tech? Amazon Fashion is looking for a Product Manager (PM) to drive strategic initiatives from the tech and business angles.

Our team consists of PMs working on time-bound projects to:

  1. Improve how our customers shop for fashion on Amazon by devising scalable solutions and features leveraging tech, automation, and centralized operations teams.
  2. Optimize and create mechanisms underlying how we run Amazon's fashion business.

The team collaborates with the 4 category teams (Apparel, Shoes, Watches & Jewelry), global Fashion Tech teams, and reports directly to the VP of Amazon Fashion in Tokyo.

We seek talented, well-rounded individuals eager to understand all facets of running an online business. The role requires a hunger to learn, the ability to unblock yourself, and a data-driven mindset. You will define internal and external problems, evaluate solutions, and collaborate with global teams to prioritize and execute impactful programs. Success involves deep data analysis, keeping pace with partner teams, and leveraging automated solutions. Navigating ambiguity and working with decentralized teams globally will be key strengths.

As a PM, a typical day might include:

  • Drafting data-backed proposals for new features to enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborating on roadmap and prioritization with global partners.
  • Deep-diving into data to extract insights guiding your project.
  • Producing project update reports with insights and corrective actions.
  • Defining customer and business requirements for software development.
  • Leading monthly business reviews with senior Amazon leaders to identify action items.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for senior leadership in Japan.
  • Ingesting roadmap and project updates from partner teams.
  • Engaging via video conference to explore new collaboration opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and product trade-offs
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions on technology decisions
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during prioritization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with statistical analysis using SQL, Excel, and other tools
  • Proven project management skills including prioritization and resource estimation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with technical and business teams
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or fashion
