Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Military Trainer - Program Technical Analyst (PTA) to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at our sector headquarters in McLean, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval. Responsibilities: PTAs work directly with the MCTSP Program Manager (PM) or designated representative to provide expertise in MISSION command training strategy and simulation systems required to support training The two-person team is composed of analysts who are well versed in Army Combined Arms Training Strategy (or most recently Headquarters, United States Department of the Army / HQDA Approved Training Strategy) requirements as they pertain to readiness, and the broad spectrum of Army information systems required to train MISSION command Provides support to ARNG MCTSP projects through planning, preparing, executing, and providing recommendations to assist in conduct of strategic decision making Provides doctrinal and technical advisory assistance, briefing support, and assistance with program initiatives to include special reports, meetings, white papers, and other program initiatives Interacts with the National Simulations Center (NSC), Program Executive Ofice - Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI) and other enterprise partners as requested by the PM Travels as required to the National Guard Bureau located in Arlington, Virginia
Basic Qualifications: One of the following: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of combined Army staff experience with extensive plans, programs, and policies at the strategic level Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of combined Army staff experience with extensive plans, programs, and policies at the strategic level Experience as a former Division Commander with expertise in leadership, training management, and large-scale training exercises. Must possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time) Must be able to work on-site in McLean, VirginiaSalary Range: $103,200 - $154,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
