We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join and expand our Systems Engineering team as the Product Development Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for one of our premier programs in the business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for the IPT's cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline.
This position is onsite in Aurora, CO:
What You Will Do
Multidisciplinary team leadership
Drive strong execution of the IPT to meet cost, schedule, and staffing commitments
Monitoring adherence of IPT budgets, plans, and schedules to support program execution
Support internal and external program reviews
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience driving cost, schedule, and/or technical performance
Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment
Experience with onboarding new work, proposals and/or basis of estimate (BOE) development
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience leading cross functional engineering teams with a proven track record
Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customers, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects)
Experience with Risk and Opportunity management
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Experience with satellite command and control and operations domain
Experience leading major milestone reviews
Development experience on a government contract

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
