Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Senior Principal Contracts Administrator to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its C4 Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit. The successful applicant will assume contracts responsibilities for the Global Mission Command and Control (GMC2) Operating Unit, which has a primary presence in Huntsville, AL but the selected candidate can work on-site at any one of our Major Northrop Grumman sites. The job assignment is primarily for large proposal activities, but will include some sustainment contracts. Job responsibilities include: Administers, extends, and negotiates standard and nonstandard contracts. Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to understand Statement of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions. Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval. Conducts contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customer and program team. Advise management of contractual rights and obligations Perform complex research on non-standard problems and provides recommendations to leadership.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management related function; or a Master's degree or JD with a minimum of 6 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management related function. We will consider 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Knowledgeable of the government contracting environment and have direct experience working with the FAR and DFARS. Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Reimbursable. Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment. Familiarity with terms and conditions and/or special contract clauses such as intellectual property and indemnification U.S. citizen Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance. Be attentive to detail and able to handle complex contracts with minimum supervision. Have excellent verbal, written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience as a Contracts Administrator in the defense industry, particularly with the US Army. Global contractual experience with international direct commercial sales pursuits and contract awards. Experience with international offsets agreements. Excellent working knowledge of FAR/DFARS; Export Regulations NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM) MS/MA/MBA/JDSalary Range: $92,900 - $170,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
