Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced
Sr PowerApps Software Developer to become part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
Location: Rosslyn, VA; 4 days On-site, in office & 1 day remote. In this role, you will need to have: Extensive knowledge of Power Apps, including both canvas apps and model-driven applications, with the ability to design, develop, and optimize complex applications. - Must have strong experience with PowerPages for creating websites and web portals that interact seamlessly with Microsoft Dataverse, ensuring secure and efficient data integration and presentation.
- Have advanced understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, including data modeling, management, and security, with the ability to design and implement effective data structures that support business processes.
- Have proficiency in leveraging Microsoft Power Automate to automate workflows and integrate applications within the Power Platform ecosystem and beyond.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements: - Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience; or a Master's degree and 7 years; or PhD and 4 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on MS PowerApps.
- Possess or obtain ONE of the following certifications within 6 months of start date:
- CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (canvas) and Power Automate (cloud flows).
- Ability to write custom code (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript) to extend Power Apps functionality.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and SQL.
- Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs for integration with other systems such as ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Office 365.
- Experience with managing environment variables and tenants within the Power Platform.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud flows using Power Automate.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse for data storage and management.
- Experience with integrating Power Apps with SharePoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues to include migrations between tenants.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies as well as requirements review and decomposition.
- Continuous learning mindset with evidence of ongoing professional development in Power Platform technologies and software development principles.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- An active Secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain final Top-Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements:
- Proficiency in developing custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions.
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level Power Apps solutions.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and best practices.
- Experience working in government environments.
- Experience with advanced Power Platform components such as AI Builder and Power Virtual Agents.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools in an Azure DevOps environment, including setting up CI/CD pipelines for Power Apps solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (model-driven apps).
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
