What we do:

The Sr. Payroll Specialist handles all elements of payroll, from inputting data, processing, payroll reconciliation, and state tax enrollment. They assist the Sr. Payroll Manager by having extensive knowledge of payroll processes and procedures and with providing payroll-related advice, guidance, and support to all employees and managers. They are the Payroll Point of Contact in the absence of the Sr. Payroll Manager.

What you can do:
  • Administers and runs all payrolls in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines, ensuring that all payrolls are processed efficiently, effectively, and accurately and are paid on time working to strict deadlines
  • Ensures new hires and terminations are processed correctly and in a timely manner, and that all manual adjustments are processed correctly in accordance with state laws
  • Validates all payroll data prior to processing and ensures that submissions are correctly validated and reconciled to maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data and accounting records
  • Completes and returns, payroll data to other third-party organizations like State departments, courts, and Child Support Agency.
  • Is responsible for accurate and complete year end processes and submissions
  • Works with Home Managers and employees, being a senior point of contact, to ensure that queries and problems are resolved promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards
  • Ensures and maintains strict confidentiality over employee data and information
  • Assists, and in some cases leads in the review and development of payroll processes, procedures, and systems
  • Assist in maintaining, and archiving payroll data and records in a safe manner to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
  • Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
  • A bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • A minimum of five (5) years of previous experience with computerized payroll processing, payroll laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
  • Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite
  • Experience with HRIS/ERP Systems
You may also be able to contribute:
  • CPP or FPC preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is: $110,000 $125,000 USD
