Job Description:

Must Haves:

- 8+ years of Oracle Database experience

- 8+ years of Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) experience

- 8+ years of experience with Statspack and AWR Review

- 6+ years of Sql Server Administration

- 6+ years Sql Server Performance monitoring and Tunning

- 6+ years Sql Server Maintenance

- Expert with performance tuning of Oracle/SQL Databases

- Experience with Sql Server Replication setup, configuration and troubleshoot

Plusses:

- Experience working with Exadata

- Experience working with Goldengate

- Sql Server AlwaysOn

- GoldenGate on SQL Server

- Experience working with AWS on RDS

Day-to-Day:

An employer is looking for a Sr. Oracle/SQL DBA to join the Database Engineering team to sit fully remote with in US (preferably PST timezone). This will be a part of the Database Services Organization

which is a Shared Service group at a global Life Sciences company. The Sr. DBA's typical day will consist of 40% hands-on performance tuning in Oracle/SQL, 40% working with Oracle/SQL internals,

10% database backup/recovery efforts and 10% working on AWS. This person will work closely with fellow Sr. DBA's and Architects but will be expected to come into the role and hit the ground running.
