Employment Type: Full-Time (W-2 Only) About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Network Engineer to join our team supporting a
Navy program. In this critical role, you will lead the design and upgrade efforts for the network
infrastructure of a large-scale enterprise IT program. Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and analyze the existing network architecture to recommend and implement
• modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies.
• Propose and integrate best practices such as SDN, intent-based networking, and network
• segmentation protocols to meet evolving network requirements.
• Design telecommunications circuit specifications tailored to enterprise needs.
• Identify and recommend routers, switches, and encryption devices to optimize enterprise
• services.
• Develop automated provisioning for network configurations, delivering Infrastructure-as-
• Code solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed network architecture specifications and artifacts. Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5 - 7 years of experience, or a Master's and 3 -
• 5 years of experience.
Technical Expertise:
• Reviewing and analyzing the existing network architecture and provide designs
• of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies
• Recommending best practices such as SDN, Intent-based networking, and
• network segmentation protocols, etc., in order to improve the existing
• architecture and meet new networking requirements
• Designing telecommunications circuit specifications
• Identifying the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support
• enterprise services
• Delivering service catalog items for automatically provisioning network
• configurations to deliver Infrastructure-as -Code
• Developing and maintaining network architecture specifications and artifacts
• Cisco experience; proven expertise with Cisco network hardware including:
• routers, switches, firewalls, unified communications equipment
• VMware environments
• Virtual and physical Internet Protocol and Fiber Channel networks and routing
• protocols
• Designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and low bandwidth networks protected by network encryptors
Certifications:
• Required - Current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH).
• Preferred - Additional professional certifications Cisco, VMware, and/or ITIL are highly desirable.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
