Position Summary:

The Sr. Network Engineer possesses expert-level knowledge in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting infrastructure connectivity and enterprise security devices, to include switches, routers, firewalls, network access controls, and ancillary devices. The Sr. Network Engineer shall support, mentor, and enable Junior engineers to carry out project tasks for the overall success, in addition to performing high-level configuration tasks with limited or no supervision.

Primary Position Tasks:
  • Support, troubleshoot, install, and configure simple and complex enterprise networks.
  • Assess, document, and report on enterprise networks to assist in network modernization.
  • Develop and refine network configuration documentation for customers and internal projects to help improve the quality of our security service delivery.
  • Maintain industry certifications as required to retain strategic OEM partnerships.
  • Review and approve new opportunity statement of works (SOW's) and level of efforts (LOE's) related to the growth of our Modern Infrastructure practice.
  • Work closely and collaborate with design engineering resources when scoping larger network related projects and programs.
  • Speak to modern infrastructure deployed service capabilities and deployment methodologies internally and in customer engagements.
  • Assist pre-sales with customer engagements when applicable.
  • Assist in developing, improving, and automating our delivery methodologies.
  • Other business duties as assigned
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
  • 7+ years related experience in a field role.
  • Current professional-level Juniper certifications (JNCIP, JNCIS-ENT or JNCIS-SP).
  • Strong background in enterprise networking and data center networking technologies.
  • Strong experience in routing protocolsand security technologies.
  • Background in enterprise operations in technologies such as NTP servers, IPAM solutions, DHCP Servers, DNS Servers, and Active Directory.
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
  • Experience in Juniper Mist and Marvis.
  • Experience in Software-Defined Network, including WAN / LAN solutions.
  • Experience with programmability, automation, and scripting (e.g. Python, Ansible, etc).
  • Previous Technical Lead, Senior Engineering, or Principal Engineer experience.
  • Previous experience in a long-term enterprise engineer role.
  • Experience with cloud networking.
  • Other relevant OEM certifications.
  • Top Secret clearance, preferred.
Knowledge , Skills and Abilities :
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, to include Visio.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) across technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Run projects autonomously or in largeengineering team and project managers.
  • Time management and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):

When completing office tasks, this position requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday. Lifting of up to 75 , and frequent walking is required during site visits.

This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.

Special Requirements:

This position will operate from the location specified above, with up to 50% travel to customer and partner sites (regional and national within U.S.). The incumbent must be able and available to travel via plane and car for extended periods of time, as required by business initiatives.
