Job Purpose:
The Sr Network Administrator III is responsible for the daily support and monitoring of remote WAN/LAN environment, field devices, network-application configurations, writing implementation plans, resolving production issues and creating automated solutions for the above.

This role is remote to 5360 Legacy Dr., Ste. 300, Plano, TX 75024 , this position will be required to report in office for project support as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assist OS and other Network team members in installation, configuration and troubleshooting .
  • Provides support for Technical Support, Site Installation teams, QA, Security and Engineering teams.
  • Reviewing, designing and implementing network configurations for new tablet customers.
  • Work with manager and/or team lead on priorities, goals, and tasks as delegated
Essential Duties:
  • Maintenance of the LAN/WAN (Voice, Data and video) networks
  • Maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls.
  • Maintenance of wired and wireless environments.
  • Maintenance of security devices and tunnels.
  • Enforcement of IP addressing structure.
  • Troubleshooting routing, switching, and WAP issues at remote sites.
  • Create and review implementation plans.
  • Maintaining configuration standards for the infrastructure.
  • Automation for network auditing and device installation.
  • Writing and maintaining documentation that covers our standard processes as well as our automation.
  • Mentoring individuals both within our team as well as other teams such as Install and Technical Support.
  • Availability during evenings and weekends for p1 and p2 issues as 24x7 on-call support as scheduled.
  • Availability during evenings and weekends to perform scheduled change controls that would disrupt business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Must be able to work unsupervised, be well organized and be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in potentially high-pressure situations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years networking experience
  • Advanced experience with BGP, QoS, STP, IPv4, DNS, NTP, SNMP, DHCP, ARP, RTP, SIP, LDAP, TACACS+.
  • Advanced experience with network installations, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced experience with routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi.
  • Advanced experience with Internet based data transmission.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNP or NSE 6 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with the following network gear:
    Cisco Meraki and Rukus APs, Ubiquti switches/AirFiber/Rocket/Nano, Fortinet firewalls/switches/aps, and Adtran firewalls/switches.
  • Experience working in the following appliances:
    Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer, FortiEMS, Ruckus and Meraki controllers.
  • Experience working in mid to large scale environments.
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
  • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
  • Ability to install network/server equipment in a datacenter environment.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
