Your Role:
- Review and stamp mechanical engineering designs for projects of varying scale and complexity
- Guide design strategies and concepts for advanced mechanical systems
- Lead audits, feasibility studies, and technical investigations, producing detailed reports
- Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot construction-related issues, and collaborate on effective solutions
- Mentor and support the development of junior and intermediate engineers and designers
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of mechanical design standards and best practices
What You Bring:
- Proven experience designing central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems
- Strong understanding of DDC control systems, including creating sequences of operations, writing specifications, and resolving on-site control challenges
- In-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards, such as OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE
- Broad industry experience spanning commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, multi-residential, and government sectors
- Exceptional communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with sound judgment and a commitment to high-quality work
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in Ontario, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Canadian experience
