Title: Senior Marketing Specialist (Creative Lead) - (9-month assignment)

Core Competencies:

Harris Williamsis seeking a talented and experienced Creative Lead for a temporary nine-month assignment to support the design, copywriting, and production of communication materials across a variety of marketing programs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enhance our company culture where execution excellence and collaboration are key.


Role & Responsibilities:


  • Lead the creative team, consisting of two designers and copywriters and an external design agency
  • Ensure the highest level of quality in design and copywriting across all marketing deliverables, reviewing and providing feedback on work created by junior creative team members
  • Manage project intake, delegation, and creative direction and ensure on-time delivery to project managers
  • Ability to execute on marketing projects, including but not limited to: designing, writingcopy, and publishing digital assets in support of banker marketing efforts; building and publishing new website pages utilizing the firm's content management system; preparing new content for distribution across multiple marketing channels, including email and social media; aiding in recruiting, event, and sponsorship programs by developing digital and on-site communication materials
  • Collaborate with full Marketing team to ensure brand is consistently demonstrated across all marketing efforts

Job Specific Competencies, Education & Experience:


  • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in a graphic design and/or copywriting role
  • Proven experience critiquing work and providing constructive feedback
  • Preferred experience in B2B, agency, or financial services
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience working across multiple digital and marketing channels with an appetite to learn additional mediums as opportunities present
  • Experience working within Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, a content management system, and/or other marketing and design platforms
  • A creative thinker who brings passion to every project - big or small
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach with a results-driven attitude
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and diligent with the ability to meet deadlines and execute efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to work well in a consultative manner
  • Team player, collaborative, and able to work effectively with various functional partners
  • Ability to effectively delegate and direct resources toward continuous improvements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • This is an in-office role (WFH 1 day per week) in Richmond, VA. Light after-hour email usage expected
