Sr. Logistics Management Specialist - Supply Chain Job Category: Logistics Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a cleared Sr. Logistics Management Specialist - SCM to join our Naval Engineering team to provide support to multiple clients such as NAVSEA, MSC, and USCG in support of Engineering logistics. Responsibilities: Perform tasks for Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) life cycle
management, inventory accountability and visibility, management analysis, compliance, Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM)
Applies and ensures compliance to DOD, DON, NAVSEA and NSWCDD policy, processes and procedures for the acquisition, receipt, storage, issuance, and transfer of OM&S material.
Perform OM&S warehouse spot checks, key supporting document reviews, and technical department material spot checks.
Develops and implements OM&S policies, processes, and procedures.
Application of Automated Information Systems (AIS). Defines system and process inefficiencies and recommends solutions.
Conduct analyses, provide recommended solutions, develop, and implement new processes and guidance based on DOD, DON and NAVSEA instructions, regulations, and procedures. Manages and Research Suppliers, OEMs, Contracts, and Vendors
Leads internal and external meetings to manage, track, organize and deliver thousands of parts for equipment and systems across commercial and government facilities including shipyard and industrial base entities.
Develops Logistics SOP for the Systems and Logistics teams.
Establishes and defines program logistical plan requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program logistical support. Monitors and creates statements of work, Commercial Cost Estimates and Government Cost estimates in compliance with contract requirements.
Manage the workflow and issues of concerns to submit, monitor, and completes work orders on all incoming and outgoing material for logistics technicians.
Conducts weekly internal and external task logistics meetings to keep the team on track to meet the customer's requests.
Performs Quality Assurance and Configuration management.
Assists in developing and reviewing program technical documentation and provides input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements.
Updates NAVY ERP Reporting spread sheets as required to determine material on hand in Navy Logistics storage.
Preforms inventory management duties to include material disposition and or DRMO for parts not being used.
Manage the training and mentorship for logistics and engineering staff members. Manages the operations of Government property including the efficient and timely distribution and transportation of goods for government officials.
Ensure that stock inventory is maintained, and correct auditing procedures are followed, and trains staff in the use of the paperless warehouse management systems, material inventory control systems, material tracking systems to cut costs and minimize over ordering of material. Regularly interacts with government customers, contractors, and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to the customers' requirements are upheld to the highest standard. Analyze costs while performing complex data analysis and detailed reports to stay within a required budget to support the customer. Performs a variety of analytical tasks in support of one or more contracted projects. Develops plans and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s) to ensure deadlines are on track. Develops reports and analyzes logistic performance metrics and programmatic documents against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Performs logistic analysis of complex systems and acquisition-related engineering and technical management functions.
Provides daily training and guiding on all logistical support methods and data base systems to current and new employees.
Performs inventory management related duties to include, but not limited to receipt, storage, and shipment of a wide variety supplies, materials, equipment and commodities
Assists in organizing and participating in all physical inventories; receives, counts, stocks and distributes merchandise; maintains adequate and accurate inventory; resolves discrepancies with vendors and accounting personnel; enters merchandise into inventory tracking system Remedy, advises associates of inventory availability; ensures timely completion and delivery of orders, prepares special order deliveries for logisticians to deliver. Qualifications: Required: U.S. Citizenship with a DOD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related experience At least 10 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in business or a related field or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of additional relevant experience may satisfy degree requirements.
Experience with NAVSEA, MSC, or USCG marine logistics practices and standards.
Proficiency with MS Office Product Suites including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Database, Teams, Adobe Pro, N-ERP, WAWF, and PIEE systems
Experience briefing complex technical issues (including performance, cost, schedule, and risk implications) to decision-makers. Desired: Master's degree in business, Logistics, Marine Engineering or a related field
Ten years of experience performing as a key lead of NAVSEA or MSC Logistics team projects.
