We are partnering with a leading IT Consulting firm in Newport Beach, CA hiring a Senior Java Developer to start immediately.

  • This is a full stack developer role, looking for candidates with experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL, API, Java, some data modeling, Rest APIs, CI/CD, DevOps
  • This position requires you to be on site in Newport Beach Office 4 days a week
  • Hourly Rate is around 60/hour on W2 (no C2C, no Sponsorship, no Visa Transfer)
  • This is an open ended on going contract position

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust Java applications that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for application development.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with existing systems to enhance functionality.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
  • Mentor junior developers and assist in their professional growth within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Java programming language with a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with application development using frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and ability to write complex queries for data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of RESTful services and API design best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing microservices architecture applications and cloud-native solutions, with strong experience in Java server-side technologies, particularly Spring Boot.
  • Proficient in writing maintainable Java code, with a solid understanding of data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies and a passion for automation, along with familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
  • Strong practitioner of DevOps practices, utilizing relevant tooling to enhance development and deployment processes, while ensuring application security through secure coding techniques and vulnerability assessments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL, with experience in performance monitoring and optimization
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of development experience.
