This role is part of the WatchDesk which is a team of full-time analysts and economists that specialize in secondary data collection by monitoring hundreds of sources to provide unprecedented context and insights for our clients. A plus for this role is having experience or familiarity with Food (restaurant), Healthcare (vision care, pharma, surgical devices), or Finance (banking, insurance).
We have a Work from Anywhere environment so working remotely and/or from our Cincinnati office is an option. This position is not eligible for a US visa or employment sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication - Regularly interact with clients and CRLs to understand business objectives and deliver updates on intelligence developments.
- Collaboration - Collaborate with intel analysts, CRLs and clients to provide tools for understanding market issues, anticipating challenges, and leveraging opportunities.
- Cognitive Skills -Develop content for thought leadership platforms, conference speeches, client board meetings, and strategic planning workshops.
- Intelligence Interpretation - Synthesize qualitative, quantitative, and secondary data to test hypotheses and create compelling deliverables.
- Intelligence Reporting & Delivery - Proficiently draft reports, develop presentations, and present findings to executive audiences.
Skills Needed:
- Minimum of 8 years in general professional experience successfully consulting with stakeholders, developing intel and briefing decision makers. Also, a minimum of 4 years of formal training in competitive intelligence, analysis and reporting; a graduate degree in Applied Intelligence would be nice to have.
- Outstanding interpersonal and client management skills.
- Naturally curious and inquisitive leader able to train and mentor others.
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to contextualize information.
- Ability to integrate observations on news, current events, or trends in the United States and around the world with primary and secondary intel findings.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with extensive experience writing reports, developing presentations, and briefing senior leaders.
- Proven ability to synthesize and present information into compelling, actionable findings.
- Desire to develop personally and professionally by constantly seeking new insights, skills, educational opportunities, and training.
- Must have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently to generate high-quality, stand-alone work.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office.
