Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect / Engineer
Primary Location: Remote, with preference for candidates near Chicago, Illinois, who are open to occasional in-person team building or strategy sessions.

Overview
TalentFish is currently seeking detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Infrastructure Architect / Engineer for our premier client. This is a 6-month contract role that will be primarily remote. Ideally seeking candidates residing near Chicago, Illinois that are open to potential in-person team building and/or meeting(s).

This is a strategic and technical leadership role focused on modernizing infrastructure, driving innovation, and implementing scalable solutions across endpoint management and cloud technologies.
As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the design, strategy, and implementation of SCCM, Intune, and broader end-user computing solutions while leveraging cloud and hybrid environments. Your expertise will bridge technical execution with business strategy, ensuring modernization efforts align with long-term IT goals. What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Background)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or End-User Computing Engineering.
• Project Management experience; overseeing various projects such as implementation of new tools/technologies, organizing project tasks, communicating with various team members on project updates/deadlines/tasks, and driving project completion.
• Strong background in SCCM, Intune, and endpoint management with a focus on enterprise-level architecture and cloud migration strategies.
• Experience driving digital transformation initiatives and implementing scalable, high-impact solutions.
• Ability to architect, design, and implement endpoint and cloud solutions, not just administer them.
• Broad technical expertise beyond SCCM, with deep understanding of modern workplace technologies and hybrid cloud solutions.

Technical Expertise (Experience Needed)

• Solution Architecture & Design for enterprise endpoint management, SCCM, Intune, and hybrid environments.
• Cloud Strategy & Migrations - including Azure, Autopilot, and hybrid Intune/SCCM implementations.
• Intune & SCCM Leadership - designing, managing, and optimizing SCCM/Intune environments.
• Device Management - including MDM for iOS & Android, Intune policies, co-managed devices.
• Infrastructure Automation - scripting with PowerShell for automation and system optimization.
• Windows 10/11, Active Directory (Hybrid), Group Policy, WSUS, Virtualization, Print Management.
• Security & Compliance - endpoint security, vulnerability management, zero-trust architecture principles.

What You'll do. (Skills Used in this Position)

• Lead infrastructure modernization efforts , defining and executing strategies for endpoint management, automation, and cloud transformation.
• Architect and implement modern device management and security solutions leveraging SCCM, Intune, and Azure.
• Drive standardization and best practices for software deployment, patch management, and cloud-based endpoint solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives and operational efficiencies.
• Provide technical leadership , mentoring junior engineers and guiding teams through complex implementations.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of endpoint technologies.
• Act as the SME for endpoint management and cloud-based workplace technologies, influencing IT strategy and roadmap.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $55 - $65 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
