Overview

SR INFOSEC Engineer:

Bowhead is seeking a SR INFOSEC Engineer to support its PEO C3N Contract in Aberdeen, MD. The INFOSEC Engineer will provide a system-of-systems approach to advancing and synchronizing cyber security, information assurance and information management across PEO C3N.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Cybersecurity Engineering for Developmental and Systems Support:
  • Provide systems engineering and analysis support to the C5 community in support of cybersecurity requirements per AR 25-2 and corresponding DA PAMs ensure the security and availability of Mission Command as well as Communications systems.
  • Provide tailored C5ISR engineering analysis concerning Cybersecurity integration at the request of Government and advise the Government of any potential technical issues that result from this integration that present risk to achieving the goals of the digital force.
  • Areas of focus may include communications security development and engineering support as well as programmatic and technology development for external organizations, including joint programs. Technical subject areas include encryption technologies, communications security/transmission security, satellite network security, cellular, radio and Tactical Internet security and cross-domain solutions.
  • Information Management Support:
  • Provide desktop hardware and software support, to include inter-operable and integrated standard office automation desktop software support.
  • Areas of focus may include determining hardware and software needs, installing software, diagnosis of problems that may involve applications, update/patch/resolve any desktop/laptop issues related to security inspections, and analyze network failures in order to isolate problem areas.
  • Develop and maintain a system, as approved by the hand receipt holder, that maintains 100% of all equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • a minimum of ten (10) years of experience, in TCP/IP, Information Security/Authorization profiles, and security administration of Windows and Linux systems.
  • have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies, Endpoint Security products, Security Information and Event Management, Public Key Infrastructure and Auditing Tools employed within DoD architectures.
  • be capable of providing security engineering analysis on a variety of information systems and guide the development of Cybersecurity policy, network and cyber security architecture, implementation plans, certification and accreditation for PEO C3N systems.
  • shall implement and enforce security policies across the organization as well as install, test and evaluate cyber security products.
  • experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, Powershell, etc).
  • IAT Level II Certification required.
Target salary range is $100,000-$150,000.Commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must have an active security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
