responsibilities:
- Design and develop applications to provide quality solutions to business teams.
- Provide operational support for all financial systems and related applications.
- Offer technical leadership and guidance to the Ops/Dev Teams.
- Identify, research, resolve, and document technical issues with existing Hyperion applications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for third-party software system installation and monitor system performance.
- Spearhead the design of new product features and enhancements, driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with the support team, offering expertise to troubleshoot complex business and technical issues effectively.
- Resolve HFM technical and functional issues and database issues by working with functional users, technical staff, and extended support organizations.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, provide new functionality, adapt for new integrations, or improve performance.
- Monitor and optimize system performance.
- Provide timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues, and defects.
- Collaborate with QA to create test plans.
- Work with users on business issues and coordinate changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of development experience with Oracle Hyperion suite of products, especially HFM, FDMEE, and EPBCS.
- Experience in designing the workflow and metadata design and management in HFM.
- Experience in both on-premise and cloud Hyperion applications.
- Understanding of techno-functional areas and concepts of TB, GL, P&L statements, and Balance Sheets.
- Expertise in metadata management, rules, ICPs, and VB scripting.
- Proficiency in VB scripts and at least one programming or scripting language.
- Experience reviewing design documents, focusing on Financial Consolidation Close, and recommending optimal approaches and principles to both business and implementation partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience.
- Leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach, and influence employees.
- Capacity to discover opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources; able to develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
- Solid ability to act as the subject matter expert and provide training, troubleshooting, and other support for software applications managed by IT (HFM, EPBCS).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, or Oracle certifications) - not required
- Having an Accounting background is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
