Responsibilities Our client is looking for a Sr. Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will work within an Agile development team to support and maintain a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment deployed across multiple security domains. You will play a key role in ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance while enabling efficient application deployment for development and IT teams.
- Install and manage OpenShift clusters across both cloud and vSphere environments spanning multiple security domains
- Maintain performance, stability, and security of OpenShift platforms
- Enable application teams to deploy efficiently through platform support and troubleshooting
- Manage OpenShift tools including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps, Red Hat ACS, and Red Hat ACM
- Scale existing infrastructure based on developer and integration requirements
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure continuous compliance and build secure deployment frameworks
- Support core data services such as RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack
- Document procedures and provide internal training to team members
Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years supporting platform environments
- Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in both cloud and vSphere environments
- Familiarity with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Linux distributions such as RHEL/RHCOS, Rocky, or CentOS
- Exposure to CI/CD orchestration tools including GitLab CI and Red Hat GitOps/ArgoCD
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Shell
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services
Preferred Requirements - Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift
- Familiarity with Git version control tools
Eduication Requirements - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification including Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
Clearance Requirements - Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI clearance is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
