Job Description:

As a Sr. High Voltage System Engineer at Meyers Manx, you will play a pivotal role in the development of our dune buggies, focusing on the integration of powertrain components and delivering high-performance solutions. Join our dynamic team to lead the charge in designing, engineering, and developing the next generation of Meyers Manx high voltage systems.

Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture and definition of the high voltage system and traction battery.
  • Drive the design and architecture of battery and high voltage software and controls.
  • Develop and perform high voltage battery development tests including module to pack development and BMS controls verification.
  • Develop requirements and validation tests for HV accessories (OBC, DCDC, AC Compressor)
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to identify user stories and guide them from concept to production.
  • Develop and own powertrain-related features, collaborating with hardware, software, architecture, safety, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Support the development of test cases and verification of system-level functions on multiple mediums (benches, lab cars, and vehicles).
  • Lead cross-functional development efforts and manage issue escalation and resolution.
  • Report feature development progress and maturity at various program milestones.
  • Participate in architectural and software technical discussions, developing technical solutions while representing the powertrain.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems.
  • Strong fundamentals in Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Automotive/Motorsport industry with a focus on designing and integrating powertrain components.
  • Experience with embedded networking interface tools for automotive, aerospace, or similar applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and launching new embedded products from concept to production.
Preferred Requirements:
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems.
  • Proven technical expertise in designing and deploying high-performance platforms in regulated industries, such as Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace, Defense, or Medical.
  • Proficiency in fundamentals of embedded systems design, RTOSes, and real-time networking.
  • Experience in designing and evaluating safety of High Voltage systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment as part of a high-performing team.
  • System approach to design and development with a desire for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in deriving cost, manufacturability, reliability, and failure modes tradeoffs based on specific designs.
