Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Sr. Help Desk Specialist to provide technical support for the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Assist/support users entering or updating data, and provide support troubleshooting and resolving system issues assistance with the use of these systems. - Create simple queries for special data analysis.
- Analyze, document, and submit any change requests received from the users.
- Work with the system project manager and DBA on user account management and documentation.
- Update the user manuals when there is a change to applications.
- Test changes to applications and document the test results utilizing Enterprise Tester or equivalent software.
- Schedule and assist in training sessions for new users and existing users.
- Interact with system administrators, developers, DBAs, and IA personnel on a routine basis.
- Upload documents to an existing system document repository when applicable. x.
- Assist system users processing and routing System Authorization Access Request (SAAR), DD Form 2875 for system access.
Qualifications
8+ years experience performing technical support for applications. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+ certified. Extensive experience with MS Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and other common desktop applications and operating systems. Knowledge and experience communicating application support concepts to technical and non-technical personnel. Able to develop technical documents and produce system documentation. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work within the confines of a set time schedule. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
