Role: Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC (2 days per week onsite at Tech Hub in SouthEnd)

Duration: Contract - 6 months (likely to extend)

Interview Process: 1-2 rounds (potential for a one-and-done interview)

Job Description:
  • Translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and deliver high-quality code modules, applications, and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure specifications are converted into scalable, maintainable designs.
  • Work on the Order Management System (OMS), consisting of Java/Springboot-based microservices that orchestrate orders for the entire Lowe's enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain messaging integrations using systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Execute and participate in component integration testing (CIT), system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Automate and simplify development, testing, and operational processes.
  • Apply software design patterns and architectural principles to create extensible, optimized solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
    • 8+ years of Java development.
    • 7+ years of experience with Springboot.
    • 5+ years hosting applications on GCP.
    • Strong proficiency with ReactJS for UI development.
    • Expertise in Kubernetes, RDBMS, and CICD processes.
    • Solid knowledge of Kafka and object-oriented programming principles.
    • Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
    • Familiarity with build tools like Maven/Gradle and version control systems like Git.
Logistics and Requirements:
  • Work Location:
    • Hybrid schedule; must be able to commute to Lowe's Tech Hub in SouthEnd, Charlotte, NC.
    • All consultants must work within the U.S. for the entirety of the engagement.
  • Important Notes:
    • Remote work outside the U.S. is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate termination.
    • Pay rates are capped, and expectations should be managed accordingly.
