Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain efficient cloud-native services using Kotlin and the Micronaut framework.
- Design and implement event-driven systems using Kafka for scalable data processing.
- Integrate observability best practices to enhance system visibility and reliability.
- Lead the development of testing frameworks to ensure production readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and product managers to deliver secure software solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Work independently while adhering to engineering best practices and standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in backend software development in large-scale settings.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and hands-on experience with Micronaut or Spring Boot.
- Solid knowledge of Apache Kafka and experience with observability tools.
- Proficient in test-driven development and container technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a contractor or consultant in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Git workflows and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of advanced architectural patterns such as event sourcing.
- Experience with intelligent systems and automated test suites.
