Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a talented Domain Systems Administrator to join one of their top federal clients at Hill Air Force Base on a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be joining the Information Services team and will be supporting the Mission of Strategic Deterrence through continuous improvements and innovation. Some of your responsibilities would include:
- Deploy and oversee Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) domain controllers
- Establish and maintain the directory infrastructure, including FSMO roles, trusts, and replication topology
- Design top-level OU hierarchies with standard sub-OUs, groups, and appropriate security permissions
- Administer and enforce security settings and policies within the domain
- Apply and uphold naming conventions for domain objects
- User Account Management: Create, delete, and manage user accounts, reset passwords, and enforce password changes
- Group Management: Modify group memberships and manage group policies
- Delegation of Control: Grant and revoke domain-wide administrative privileges
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis within the domain
- Develop disaster recovery strategies
- Conduct cross-department end-user training and overlap support - Assist in developing recommendations for enhancing software support services
- Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
- Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance of assigned operating systems and applications with Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including DISA STIG and IAVM bulletins
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 years of experience in IT or related technical field
- Active Secret Clearance - CompTIA Sec+ Certification or other comparable IAT Level II Certification (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Domain Services System Administration
- Hands on experience within the Domain
- Standing up of Active Directory, Installing Domain controller, and Creating GPO's
- Strong understanding of IT (operating systems, networking, and enterprise software)
- Experience with Windows Workstations and Server operating systems, including the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server
- Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in IT or related STEM field
- Administer enterprise services like Microsoft Domains, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, WSUS, Exchange, Adaxes, Secret Server
- Perform GPO administration
- Architect OS and Software deployment with ECM
- Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance
- General understanding of antivirus software, vulnerability scanning software, or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
