Sr DevOps Engineer

Project Overview / Need
  • This is a 100% greenfield initiative to establish a full DevOps practice from scratch.
  • Currently migrating to Azure Cloud and needs a Sr DevOps Engineer to build and implement a CI/CD framework that is scalable and adheres to modern best practices.
  • Immediate focus is on data pipelines, the architecture must support future expansion into API and full-stack development.

DevOps Overview
  • Design and implement a scalable CI/CD framework
    • Define and build out manual and automated approval gates, scalable workflows, and blue-green deployment strategies
  • Assist Shubh on tool selection for automation, monitoring, and infrastructure
  • Ensure the DevOps framework supports future evolution into broader engineering practices (beyond data pipelines)
  • Above are the immediate needs of the role, but their DevOps practice should evolve to include
  • This is a highly strategic and technical role that requires strong hands-on skills and play a key role in defining tooling, automation standards, and long-term DevOps strategy.

Must Have Skills:
  • Strong experience setting up CI/CD pipelines from scratch (preferably in Azure DevOps)
  • Expertise in building scalable, automated deployment processes
  • Familiarity with Bitbucket for version control
  • Experience working with data pipelines
  • Solid Azure cloud experience, particularly in pipeline and DevOps integrations
Nice to Have Skills: ( a lot of these skills are the direction Lucy Rx is heading, but not necessarily an immediate need - ideal candidates would have some combination)
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes containers
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally Terraform
  • Ability to consult on and recommend tooling strategy (monitoring, testing, deployment, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Selenium or Playwright for automation testing
  • Experience in API or full-stack development environments
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog or alternatives)
  • Experience in early-stage DevOps implementations (greenfield environments)
  • Ability to act as a DevOps thought leader and coach less experienced teams
