Senior Developer / Business Analyst Shelton, CT
Reports to: E-Solutions Program Manager
Role Overview The Senior Developer/Business Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting custom business applications, automated workflows, and other technical solutions primarily using low-code platforms such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint. The successful candidate should possess a strong combination of technical proficiency, management skills, and business acumen with experience gathering, prioritizing, and analyzing business needs, and providing strategic advice while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes.
Responsibilities SharePoint/Power Platform Development - Build cost-effective, high-value solutions leveraging SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate, SQL Databases, BI, and other tools in conjunction with customized code, APIs, and 3rd party add-ons.
- Configure, monitor, and manage permissions, user access, and security settings in SharePoint and Power Apps.
- Perform technical feasibility assessments to identify which development platform best meets the specific project criteria.
- Stay informed about current and new technical advancements, add-on tools, and capabilities to enhance both new and existing applications.
Business Analysis/Project Management - Collaborate with teams from diverse areas of the business to translate complex business requirements into applications that yield significant business value, streamline business processes, and optimize efficiency.
- Assess and prioritize requests from the business to ensure that projects are cost-effective, fully supported by senior leadership, and will achieve significant, measurable KPIs.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to define clear business objectives, capture detailed requirements, and establish accurate timeframes for completing milestones and meeting deadlines.
- Leverage methodologies and tools to effectively manage and track multiple projects and competing priorities.
Qualifications - Experience
- 3+ years' experience building custom SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications (SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016)
- Development experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, and Power BI) (preferred)
- Experience managing all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, requirements-gathering, design, development, testing, training, and deployment.
- Knowledge of UX best practice and tools; experience applying methodologies to optimize usability tailored to target audiences.
- Experience providing user support including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to produce clear documentation and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in software development or computer engineering)
- Master's degree in software engineering (preferred)
