The Senior Data Warehouse Engineer is responsible for managing the sourcing, loading, and optimization of the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and databases across all systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Big Data Architect, the role involves executing technical solutions and implementing new and emerging technologies. They will oversee the development and maintenance of data warehouse production databases that support various business entities. This includes developing and managing various data marts, data loading processes, and business intelligence reporting databases on AWS S3 and/or Redshift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the architecture, development, and maintenance of production databases in collaboration with information systems Technical teams.
- Design, develop, and support database objects and ETL processes for reporting and integrations.
- Implement data quality processes and ensure efficient performance, scalability, and troubleshooting across the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with technical architects, business intelligence architects, and other stakeholders throughout the data warehouse lifecycle.
- Define and direct ETL/ELT processes, ensuring quality, testing, and performance optimization.
- Manage the transfer, replication, and loading of data between operational and EDW systems.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields is required.
- 5+ years of experience in database management and development, including working with complex data warehouse environments.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS platforms & designing, architecting, and deploying data repositories on AWS platforms.
- Extensive experience with SQL, complex queries, and ETL/ELT processes.
