Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a
Sr. Data Scientist - SECRET CLEARED for a job opportunity supporting a government contracting company located at
Andrews AFB, Maryland. This position is currently
hybrid with on-site work 1day/week. The
Sr. Data Scientist will drive efforts and lead a team as federal data systems are consolidated and migrated to a cloud environment. This position will require travel 5% of the time to meet on-site with clients.
Responsibilities for the Sr. Data Scientist include: - Act as a Secretariat for data analytics and architectural work - help to establish policies for the data
- Update the data stewardship framework with accurate policies, procedures, and responsibilities set forth by the DOD and Air Force.
- Implement the DOD strategy, write data quality plans, identify important data in systems, and determine how to measure and report it.
- Lead the data science initiatives, oversee projects, and brief high-ranking officials.
Required Qualifications for the Sr. Data Scientist include: - 5+ years of experience with data science
- Experience writing and briefing high-ranking officials on data migrations, integrations, consolidations, etc.
- Experience with Python, Databricks, SQL
- Experience with project management.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Must have ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE
Preferred Qualifications for the Sr. Data Scientist include: - Experience with supply chain/logistics
- Experience supporting the U.S. Air Force
- Experience supporting high ranking officials or headquarters personnel
- PMP certification
Compensation for the Sr. Data Scientist include: • Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
