Senior Data Scientist

What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will harness the power of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and machine learning as the fundamental techniques, complemented by models encompassing transport phenomena, data-driven insights, machine learning, optics, and cell physiology. Leveraging these multidisciplinary models, you will develop mechanistic and data-driven solutions to address an array of intricate challenges across diverse functions, including bioprocesses (drug substance, drug product), and synthetic chemical processes. This position presents a distinctive opportunity to contribute to pioneering digital transformation endeavors that wield a substantial influence on the biomanufacturing sector. Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) models to simulate and analyze biomanufacturing processes.
Develop machine learning and computer vision tools to streamline quality control processes in biomanufacturing.
Enhance existing algorithms using programming languages such as Python, C , Java, or other suitable languages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative biomanufacturing solutions by integrating expertise in engineering, data science, and biology, while managing multiple projects using agile methodologies.
Build and maintain data pipelines to support advanced modeling techniques.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Data Sciences experience; OR
Associate's degree and 8 years of Data Sciences experience; Or
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Data Sciences experience; Or
Master's degree and 2 years of Data Sciences experience; Or
Doctorate degree
Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Data Science or a related field OR
Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial experience.
Track record of leading computational, data science and machine learning projects
Hands on experience in code development
Strong background in computational model development with hands-on experience in real-world problems.
Strong knowledge of machine learning and computer vision concepts and experience applying machine learning solutions to engineering problems.
Proficiency in coding with the ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented codes.
Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines for efficient data collection and preprocessing
Additional advanced degrees or certifications related to machine learning, or biomanufacturing.
Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Publication record in relevant peer-reviewed journals or conferences.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
