This one has been open, but I was recently added as the client was getting all technical candidates and they want business side people. JOB DESCRIPTION High level capital markets middle office control activities related to foreign exchange and funds management products in all markets of client.
Required Skills: - Financial Services Capital Markets experience with a CMRP (Capital Markets Reporting Platform).
- Non-IT. No new reports are being created so they don't want Python, etc backgrounds. Strong experience with MS Excel tools.
- Business background and very detail oriented.
- Experience and ability to read capital market counter party agreements, determine what they mean, and extrapolate relevant data.
- Experienced with Customer Risk Management Products, foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, risk & controls.
Duties and Responsibilities: - The role focuses on supporting project-related requirements, requiring in-depth knowledge of these financial products, including the underlying contracts governing them.
- The candidate must be capable of identifying and addressing missing data, reviewing documents to ensure proper data capture, and maintaining accurate records. This involves challenging discrepancies when necessary and potentially filling in for managers overseeing these product areas.
- The position demands a strong understanding of capital markets and the ability to manage data effectively, collaborating with other teams to implement solutions for data gaps and ensuring compliance with reporting and operational standards.
- Functionally, the role requires significant business knowledge of FX, interest rate, and energy derivatives, including familiarity with master agreements, key contract terms, and the business lifecycle of these products.
- The candidate should understand valuation processes, such as mark-to-market calculations, and regulatory reporting requirements like Dodd-Frank, EMIR, ASIC, and CFTC.
