Title: Sr. Data Management Analyst

Team: Corporate Data Governance

Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

Terms: Long-Term Contract/Contract-to-Hire


Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical Data Management Analyst (contractor) to support our Corporate Data Governance team. This role will focus on managing data assets, implementing governance frameworks, and maintaining metadata repositories within Purview, our enterprise data governance platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data governance platforms (required) and Microsoft Purview (preferred).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain data governance tools (Purview, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.), ensuring alignment with organizational data policies and standards.
  • Support metadata management initiatives, including data catalogs, data lineage tracking, and data classification.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance Advisor, IT and business stakeholders to define and enforce data governance policies.
  • Assist in the integration and configuration of data governance tools to enhance data visibility and compliance.
  • Perform data analysis and profiling to assess data completeness and accuracy, supporting remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize key governance insights, track performance trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze data governance metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Facilitate workshops and lead meetings on data governance topics such as data lineage, data catalog, and metadata management.
  • Develop and deliver training to educate stakeholders on data governance tools, frameworks, and processes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise data governance platforms (required)-such as Purview (preferred platform), Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar.
  • Experience with data cataloging, data lineage tracking, and metadata management best practices.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze large datasets to support governance and compliance efforts.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex data governance concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Experience conducting training sessions or workshops on data governance topics such as data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
