You will support the migration of dbt models from Redshift and Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg), ensuring compatibility, performance, and adherence to best practices in our evolving infrastructure.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in Multiple SQL Syntaxes (Redshift, Snowflake, and Trino (Iceberg
  • Deep understanding of dbt, including model development, macros, and Jinja templating
  • Experience with BI tools, particularly Tableau
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to refactor SQL and dbt models to support infrastructure migrations
Responsibilities
  • Support the migration of dbt models from Redshift and Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg)
  • Fix SQL syntax issues in dbt models
  • Version control dbt models using Git
  • Refactor and optimize data models for Iceberg best practices
  • Ensure data sources for Tableau align with new infrastructure
  • Collaborate and validate migration impacts with workbook owners
  • Participate in daily standups and coordinate migration priorities with the engineering team
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a data engineering, BI, or analytics role
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services and/or SaaS companies
  • Experience with dbt and modern data modeling best practices
  • Experience in startup environments is a plus
