Title: Data Business Analyst

The Senior Data Business Analyst provides expertise in analyzing and improving business systems to ensure technology solutions meet user needs. This role acts as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, identifying opportunities, documenting requirements, and supporting implementation efforts. The position involves managing one or more complex projects independently.
Key Responsibilities: - nalyze business processes and systems to identify the most effective technology solutions.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to align expectations and deliverables.
- Use SQL and big data tools to analyze data sources and identify anomalies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for specific business processes and/or systems.
- Engage with business units to elicit and clarify requirements independently.
- Evaluate business capabilities and identify changes needed to achieve strategic goals.
- Guide solution selection and support informed decision-making.
- Document current and future state processes, and define steps required for transformation.
- Recommend and support implementation of new features and enhancements.
- Coordinate end-user feedback activities, including user acceptance testing and product demos.
- Support change management, including documentation and training efforts.
- Facilitate design sessions to develop effective business solutions.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices.
- Proactively identify and propose solutions to address business challenges.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations, organizational structure, and interdependencies to inform solution recommendations.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries; equivalent education and experience may be considered. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience working in analytics or research environments, including tools like R and/or Python.
- Proficiency with data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, VBA, Dataiku, Domino).
- Strong skills in business process mapping and requirements documentation.
- Experience developing analytics solutions for infrastructure, operations, or application delivery teams is a plus.
