Senior Cyber Security Engineer
FT 140K to 150K
Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days onsite)

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
No 3rd parties or C2C

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to be responsible for developing and overseeing our data and security software systems to prevent data breaches and cybercrime activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Identify and define system security requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Monitor security access and perform vulnerability and penetration tests
  • Plan, research, and develop security policies, standards, and procedures for our engineering teams and teams across the company who interact with our code or development environments
  • Develop technical solutions and tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and patch management systems.
  • Serve as a security expert and conduct training when needed to educate staff on information security.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging trends in information security threats and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems, and services.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with distributed system architecture built and managed in Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, and so on.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and network/web-related protocols.
  • Experience with cloud security, including architecture, best practices, and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
