Sr Cyber Program Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Program Manager to support a critical DOE program for National Nuclear Security Administration in Washington, D.C The team is seeking a program manager experienced with complex cyber security initiatives for enterprise environments. (Hybrid) Responsibilities of the Sr Cyber PM: Ensure the effective implementation of security strategies, compliance frameworks, and operational excellence. Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity programs, ensuring they align with business goals and regulatory standards.
Set program objectives, priorities, and deliverables while leading cross-functional teams.
Create, implement, and sustain a comprehensive cybersecurity program in line with industry best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Promote the adoption of a zero trust security model across enterprise systems.
Ensure the organization complies with relevant regulations such as FISMA, GDPR, HIPAA, and others as necessary.
Manage risk processes, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
Lead and mentor cybersecurity team members, encouraging professional development and technical expertise.
Work with IT, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure unified security efforts across the organization.
Develop and monitor program metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership, highlighting program progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Oversee the creation and testing of incident response plans and procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the organization's security posture and program maturity. Qualifications of the Sr Cyber PM: Active Top Secret clearance
Bachelors degree in related field with 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, 4+ in program management role Certifications: Must have one of the following (CISSP, CISM, PMP, or equivalent) In depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001
Experience managing large teams and enterprise programs consisting of 100+ personnel Experience managing complex cybersecurity programs, including budgets and timelines Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements; FISMA, CCPA, HIPAA Compensation of the Sr. Cyber PM: Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000 - $200,000 based on experience level
