Description First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a
Sr Customer Service Representative at the Main Street Branch located in El Dorado, Arkansas.
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform customer services such as teller functions, opening new accounts, establishing direct deposit accounts, opening retirement accounts (IRA), and assisting customers with queries concerning financial institution products and services. Contribute to branch growth by gathering outside deposits, tracking sales, and meeting goals set by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school or GED required. One to two years related experience and/or training. Prior banking experience and knowledge of bank products a plus. Minimum of one year customer service and teller/cash handling experience.
COMPLEXITY: (Mental Skill) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide new accounts and teller services as summarized in the duties and responsibilities listed below. Provide a complete range of customer services including the following: opening all types of new accounts (checking, savings, money market, time and IRA), explaining available Bank products and services, gathering customer information to process new and existing accounts, and issuing required disclosures to customers when opening accounts. Compliance with all Federal Regulations such as BSA, Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD, Reg E and Reg F. Receives checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records. Cross-sells bank products and services such as checking, savings, time accounts and loans. Service bond and security transactions, establish retirement accounts, make arrangements for direct deposits. Prepare paperwork and assist customers in the signing of documents to process all accounts. Complete arrangements and documents for special services such as processing savings bond transactions, cashier's checks, money orders, loan payments, cross-selling bank's products, exchanges of foreign currency, answering routine telephone calls and assisting customers with various other account issues or inquiries. Assist in other areas of branch operations when scheduled or during peak business hours, as needed. Other duties as assigned by management.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have basic skills in the use of general office equipment such as typewriter, ten-key calculator, fax machine, etc. Computer experience with working knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of First Financial Bank's customer products a plus. May be required to complete in-house teller training to become familiar with the Bank's products. Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks. Requires excellent communication skills, both on and off the phone. Must project an overall professional image.
